Year 12
TERM 1:
Induction week workshop
Lion City Fair
Subject support for some learners
Weekly reflection sessions on Thursday mornings
TERM 2:
Start the ‘Life After Nexus Programme’ - UK, US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Aus & NZ.
TERM 3:
Introduce the Nexus Coaching Programme for Year 12 learners.
Continued ‘Life After Nexus’ programme.
Reminder that US applicants should prepare for SATs - book a test date through the College Board. Recommended that learners take part in a preparation course by Test Takers Singapore.
TERM 4:
All Year 12 learners will be invited to take part in the ‘NEXt Steps Careers Readiness’ Event.

1:1 Meetings with all Year 12 learners.
Year 13
TERM 1:
Induction week workshop Tuesday 13th August
Submit draft essays to Ms Aine by 31st August.
Sign-up for 1:1 meetings
Oxbridge deadline is 15th October and deadline for registration for admissions tests is 15th October
US Early Decision applications must be submitted in the last week of Term 1.
Weekly Friday morning reflection time.
TERM 2:
1:1 meetings continue. Applications to the US (EA and regular), Canada, UK, Japan and Hong Kong.
All UCAS and remaining US applications must be submitted by learners on or before 2nd December 2024.
TERM 3:
1:1 meetings.
Singapore, Europe and any remaining applications due. Deadlines vary.
Exit interview with the university counsellor.
UNIFROG
The Unifrog platform is designed to support learners in making the most informed decisions about their futures and has a range of tools that are suitable for all year groups.
Key features of the platform include:
Exploring Pathways – personality quizzes, career and subject profiles, MOOCs, and webinars
Recording – self-reflection about extracurricular activities and key employability skills
Opportunities – search tools showing live vacancies, courses, and placements for universities around the world, virtual work experience and much more
Applications – tools to help students build applications for a range of pathways (e.g., resumés, Common App Essays, personal statements)
We would encourage you to use the platform with your child so you can support them through the process of deciding their next step. We have also set up a parent login so that you can use Unifrog as if you were a student yourself, allowing you to support your child throughout the process.
